I started the "Greatest Grand Prix Calendar" as our first foray into bespoke product design for the 2020 season. It seemed obvious to start with the "Greatest Drivers", after all it is the drivers that everyone knows, whether you're a diehard fan or just someone with a passing interest in F1.
Easy. Come the 2021 edition, "Greatest Cars" was logical and fun to go over the stats and stories to figure out which cars would make the cut in our 12 entries. Then for the 2022 edition I went a bit out there and focused purely on one race, Monaco.
Now, Monaco is a track that's almost more famous than F1 itself and there have been so many memorable races and moments around the streets of Monte Carlo, I could have done with 24 months to fill with stories.
2023...
For the 4th edition of "The Greatest" calendar we've gone for everyone's favourite in sport, the underdog. I mean, who doesn't love a good underdog moment, especially in F1 where it's become standard for one of a few drivers to be able to win a race.
Even more so than Drivers, Cars and Monaco, this year's theme is rather subjective and again I could have done with more than 12 months to select stories for, but after a lot of research, reading and deliberating, the entries have been selected and I hope you agree or at least appreciate the selection.
