YES – the theme for my 8th Grand Prix Calendar is “British Racing Legends” – let’s face it, there are quite a few. Some more so than others. For the 12 entries in the calendar we’ve gone with the 11 British Formula 1 Champions and then of course the incredible Sir Stirling Moss.
Known as the greatest driver never to be a champion, he had to be in our racing legends selection. The phrase “who do you think are, Stirling Moss?” still brings a smile to face. It just works so well.
Here’s the full run down of drivers featured in the calendar for 2027:
- January – Lewis Hamilton
- February – James Hunt
- March – Stirling Moss
- April – John Surtees
- May – Nigel Mansell
- June – Mike Hawthorn
- July – Graham Hill
- August – Damon Hill
- September – Jim Clark
- October – Lando Norris
- November – Jackie Stewart
- December – Jenson Button
The images selected from Cahier Archive and from official F1 photographer, Martin Trenkler are sublime – here’s the shot of Jim Clark, it’s a far cry from modern day F1!
The full run down of all the images will come over the next few weeks, with some posts on Instagram and here too, of course.
Actually, you’ve scrolled down far enough – if you want to see more of the images, you can catch a glimpse of each them in the reveal video here on our instagram.
Enjoy!
