The planet. We’re all responsible for it. As a small business, we are lucky to be able to choose how our business works and thinking about the environment is something I passionate about.
All our products are 100% plastic free, including all the postage materials too. Where we use paper or card it’s often recycled, or if not then it’s sourced responsibly and FSC accredited. The entire Grand Prix Calendar is recyclable too.
All our tea towels are milled, designed and screen-printed right here in sunny, chilly Yorkshire. And they made from organic cotton too.
For 2023, the Calendar and tea towels are being shipped in a protective wrap to ensure they arrive with you in the exact same condition they left me. Plastic wrap would be the obvious choice, but not here, oh no. We’re using glassine sealed wrap, which is paper based, recyclable and compostable.
It may look like I just spend my time watching F1, drawing race tracks and designing calendars, but I’m also thinking of the whole process, from the beginnings working on my Mac to the final product landing in letterboxes across the world.
We’ve only got the one planet, BoxBoxBoxCo is only a tiny thing in the grand scheme of it all, but I like to think we’re doing it right. Making people happy with well designed products while looking out for planet earth.
